This article lists the different types of sat navs available in the UK.

If you make frequent long distance journeys in your car then you will know how important a sat nav system can be. Without it, you have to distract yourself from the road by constantly looking at  map to make sure that you are going in the right direction in order to meet your final destination.

Sat Navs are incredibly useful. They work by telling you exactly where you need to go and what roads you need to take in order to get to where you need to be. There are many different types of sat navs to choose from, so you need to figure out which is best for you.

The plug in sat nav system is probably the most well-known type of sat nav and the most widely used in the country.

Plug in sat navs are generally more expensive than the hand held versions, but they are worth the extra money.

They usually sit on the dash board and are plugged into the car. You simply type in your destination and your starting point and you will be told exactly where to go.
