LG Prada 3.0

Released in the UK in February 2012, the LG Prada 3.0 is, as the name suggests, the third in the range of LG’s Prada phones, and continues the super-stylish look with a flawlessly beautiful new phone.

The phone which runs the Android os has a fairly snappy 1ghz dual core processor, 8GB storage (expandable via a microSD slot) and a decent 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p video recording.

On the connectivity front, the LG Prada 3.0 features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, DLNA, NFC and MicroUSB.

For style conscious individuals looking for a smartphone with something a little different, this may be the ideal choice.

LG Optimus 3D P920

The LG Optimus 3D is one of the first 3D phones to hit the market, and is certainly a novel phone.

Pictures taken with the onboard camera are automatically converted into 3D photos.

Powered by Android, it is a capable smart phone, but is not as powerful as some similarly priced models.

The LG Viewty Snap is a budget/low-end phone, available from as little as £80.

Overall, it’s a clever idea and one that I found myself using much more often than I anticipated. If you’re like me and keep your phone on your desk a lot, then the Pop makes a lot of sense.

The Galaxy S2 has managed to hit that critical mass that everyone and their grandmother is trying to make a case for it. As of writing Apple still haven’t announced the next version of the iPhone, and have only recently brought out the new white iPhone 4.

So when will the iPhone 5 come out? No one is totally sure. Some predictions are late 2011, some a 2012 launch.

Pictures of a white iPhone 5 leaked earlier in the year suggest the iPhone 5 will not look radically different, though may have a slightly increased screen size pushed closer to the edge of the screen.

There had been rumours Apple might go for a steel back – similar to the new iPad, but the more likely option may be it will have a glass back.

We can be sure the iPhone 5 will have a superior quality camera made by Sony, following an announcement from the Sony CEO at a conference.

Question: Should I buy an iPhone 4 or wait for the iPhone 5?

A tough question that depends on your situation.

You may feel jealous/disappointed when an amazing new shiny iPhone comes out in x months time if you think you won’t have the money to upgrade.

You could potentially always sell your iPhone 4 on eBay then buy a new iPhone 5, or buy out your contract, but either way it is likely to incurr a cost.

You could be patient and wait for the next version.

Or you could go to the darkside and buy a HTC phone.
