LG produce beautiful looking and have always had a great line of smart phones.

LG Prada 3.0

Released in the UK in February 2012, the LG Prada 3.0 is, as the name suggests, the third in the range of LG’s Prada phones, and continues the super-stylish look with a flawlessly beautiful new phone.

The phone which runs the Android os has a fairly snappy 1ghz dual core processor, 8GB storage (expandable via a microSD slot) and a decent 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p video recording.

On the connectivity front, the LG Prada 3.0 features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, DLNA, NFC and MicroUSB.

For style conscious individuals looking for a smartphone with something a little different, this may be the ideal choice.

LG Optimus 3D P920

The LG Optimus 3D is one of the first 3D phones to hit the market, and is certainly a novel phone.

Pictures taken with the onboard camera are automatically converted into 3D photos.

Powered by Android, it is a capable smart phone, but is not as powerful as some similarly priced models.

The LG Optimus 3D has a large 4.3″ WVGA display. Has a HDMI 1.4 connection, and is DLNA certified.

LG Viewty Snap

The LG Viewty Snap is a budget/low-end phone, available from as little as £80.

The LG Viewty Snap is a touch-screen phone, with a fairly nice façade for the money.

The phone comes with a 5 megapixel camera, music and basic internet functions.

If you are looking for something simple, this phone could work. If you are looking for a high-powered smartphone – look elsewhere.

The phone also lacks Wi-Fi and 3G, making it a poor choice or anyone thinking of connecting to the internet regularly.

LG Cookie Lite

The LG Cookie Lite is another entry level/budget phone. Small in size, with an equally small touch-screen.

Has a pretty low spec 1.3 megapixel camera.

A good budget buy if you really aren’t interested in flashy phones.

This article lists some of the best types of Samsung Galaxy S2 cases available.

These are the best Samsung Galaxy S2 cases available, which are sturdy enough to protect your phone, look great, and have some killer features. Let’s get started!

1. Case-Mate Tough Case

As you might guess from the name, this case is hard as nails. Unlike other cases, which typically rely on a single layer of protection, this case is dual layer.

On the inside, there’s a soft silicone layer, which wraps around your Galaxy S2. This padding allows the case to absorb suddent impacts and shocks, so if you happen to accidentally drop your Galaxy SII you know it’ll be safe.

The outer layer, a hard plastic shell, further increases the level of protection available. This shell is also much easier to hold than other cases, and looks great with its fine mesh too. This Mix and Match Hybrid Tough case really lives up to its name, providing advanced protection for your precious smartphone, and is truly one of the best Samsung Galaxy S2 cases available.

2. Samsung Mesh Vent Case

The Mesh Vent from Samsung is a unique and fetching Samsung Galaxy SII case. Its eponymous large mesh protects your phone from drop damage and scratches, and gives the phone an attractive and solid look. The case is also available in quite a range of colours, from a professional black to more vibrant reds, blues and pinks.

As the Galaxy can sometimes feel a bit flimsy due to its incredibly thin size, this official Samsung accessory will go a long way towards making the whole package one that you believe in. And because it’s from Samsung, you know that it will fit perfectly, with access vents in all the right places, and be held up to their high standards of construction.

3. SGP Ultra Silke

The SGP Ultra Silke is another Galaxy S2 case with a unique look and feel. The Ultra Silke is all about sophistication, with a soft understated silicone shell that protects your phone without making it clunky.

The scratch and shock resistant case is also surprisingly durable, due to the high grade of silicone used in its construction. The case is also coated to resist dust and fingerprints, a common stumbling block for lower quality cases.

Above all though, the Ultra Silke looks fantastic, with soft rounded corners that accentuate the S2’s already slim figure. If you’re looking for a case that makes a subtle statement, this is it.

4. Advanced Flexishield Skin

The Advanced Flexishield Skin is a two part product, offering a clear or solid black skin and a Galaxy S2 screen protector in the same box.

The skin itself is quite minimal, sporting anti-shock protection (for accidental drops) and a non-slip surface. While the protection offered isn’t on par with more conservative (and bulky) products, you get to keep the full effect of the Galaxy’s stunningly thin frame — and with the clear case option, you can even show off the already-beautiful chassis of the phone.

The Advanced Flexishield Skin is an excellent budget option, offering moderate protection and a handy screen protector in a single package.

5. Case-Mate Pop

Case-Mate have long proven themselves to be capable of producing top quality smartphone cases, and their newest line, the Pop, doesn’t buck the trend.

This Samsung Galaxy SII case has a unique feature, a pop-out leg embedded in the rear of the device. This leg allows you to keep the phone upright at a suitable viewing angle, which I’ve found incredibly handy for watching YouTube videos and keeping tabs on incoming notifications.

The Pop is also quite sturdy, offering a very good level of protection from drops and scratches. While the case is bulkier than others, I found that the extra weight makes the phone feel much sturdier and easier to hold onto.

Overall, it’s a clever idea and one that I found myself using much more often than I anticipated. If you’re like me and keep your phone on your desk a lot, then the Pop makes a lot of sense.

Conclusion

The Galaxy S2 has managed to hit that critical mass that everyone and their grandmother is trying to make a case for it. There’s some excellent ideas and adaptions here, from emphasising its slim design to offering maximum protection, so if you’re looking for a Galaxy case then I’m sure you’ll find one that fits you.

So when will the iPhone 5 come out? No one is totally sure. Some predictions are late 2011, some a 2012 launch.

iPhone 5 features

Pictures of a white iPhone 5 leaked earlier in the year suggest the iPhone 5 will not look radically different, though may have a slightly increased screen size pushed closer to the edge of the screen.

There had been rumours Apple might go for a steel back – similar to the new iPad, but the more likely option may be it will have a glass back.

We can be sure the iPhone 5 will have a superior quality camera made by Sony, following an announcement from the Sony CEO at a conference.

Question: Should I buy an iPhone 4 or wait for the iPhone 5?

A tough question that depends on your situation.

You may feel jealous/disappointed when an amazing new shiny iPhone comes out in x months time if you think you won’t have the money to upgrade.

You could potentially always sell your iPhone 4 on eBay then buy a new iPhone 5, or buy out your contract, but either way it is likely to incurr a cost.

You could be patient and wait for the next version.

Or you could go to the darkside and buy a HTC phone.

BlackBerry has been one of the most popular smart-phones for many years, before even the iPhone. If you are thinking about buying a BlackBerry yourself then you may be interested to know that there are actually several different types of BlackBerry phones. It is important that you take a look at all of them in order to ensure that you get the right phone for you personally.

BlackBerry Curve

The BlackBerry Curve is possibly one of the most well-known types of BlackBerry phones, and it is one of the originals too. Despite the fact that this is one of the older series of BlackBerry phones, it still proves to be incredibly popular. It features the iconic QWERTY keyboard which makes for very easy messaging. The BlackBerry Curve also features the track ball, which makes navigation especially easy. The track ball is one of BlackBerry’s most popular features. As with all BlackBerry phones you are able to use the BlackBerry Messenger service (BBM).

BlackBerry Bold

The BlackBerry Bold comes from the 9000 series, and is one of the newer models. There are several different handsets available in the Bold series, and all of them have some very noticeable improvements and enhancements in comparison with previous models such as the Curve. However, fans of the Curve will not be disappointed as the Bold still features the well-known, easy to use QWERTY keyboard. There is the option for either the track ball or the touch pad; some models in this range have one or the other, so the option is there for those who want it. This is probably one of the more affordable BlackBerry’s, and is one that is well worth looking at, even if it is only for its modern look and feel.

BlackBerry Storm

There are thousands of different touch screen phones available, and this is BlackBerry’s offering. Although it is not considered as good as some of the other types of BlackBerry phones, it does still have some major plus points. It has a very nice modern feel to it, which is something that a lot of people are looking for these days. However, it can actually be quite difficult to type emails on the BlackBerry Storm, especially in comparison with the BlackBerry’s that make use of the original QWERTY keyboard.

BlackBerry Pearl

The BlackBerry Pearl is a lot different to most of the other types of BlackBerry phones because of its design. With a candy bar shape you would not even know that this is a phone from BlackBerry unless you own one. Although this may not sound appealing, there are actually some really good points about this pone. For example, the QWERTY keyboard is compact whilst still being very easy to use. As well as this, it is much easier to carry around. However, if you are looking for a phone with that obvious BlackBerry appearance then the Pearl is probably not the phone for you.
